If a picture paints a 1000 words...

...then here's 2000 words on how I'm feeling today!

I'm finding this one tricky atm as there's a few people at work I simply don't respect.  I've just had another one of those weeks at work where some of us look at our colleagues and think 'How do they get away with it when we're working our butts off?'

*sighs*

  1. I think it's the same almost everywhere, our lazy bones was moved on to another office, and the new lad replacing her, is never at his desk, between getting water, smoking breaks and just wondering off, i can't see how much work he does.

  2. Same everywhere to one degree or another. Not sure how long you have left on your temporary contract, but I would be tempted to return to the 'temping' agency at that time; I am not a teacher, but I found when I was temping, people were really glad for the commitment I had for the contracts. It would also help you to see different schools/regimes etc before committing to anything more permanent.

  3. As it's a maternity cover I could be here until Easter if the teacher takes her full year off but legally I could get 4 weeks notice any time from now until then. But I have been thinking about taking a rest from applying for jobs on the basis that I should be offered a permanent supply post once I've completed 2 full years in the same school (3rd of December). I'd be appointed to a cluster of 4 or 5 schools and work between them for a year before being given a job in one of them. My friend is doing that this year and although she doesn't love it, she's getting a wide range of experience. Downside is you don't get a choice of where your permanent post will be after the year.
