Still here, still busy!

Happy Stir up Sunday!  Sadly I haven't been making my Christmas pudding today as per tradition.  Mainly because I'm up to my eyeballs in report writing and clearing my downstairs bathroom ready for some long overdue building work.  I'm still dipping in and out of blogland but life is just too hectic to bore you all with how busy I am.  Doing boring stuff mainly.  Hey ho!

I popped down to the allotment this morning.  It's doing well for November.  I did manage to plant some garlic as well as do a little weeding.  I was just grateful that the polytunnel has survived the high wind and heavy rain of the last few weeks.

I put my Christmas tree up yesterday.  And so have loads of my friends.  It's been that kind of year!!

I do hope you are all well in the current circumstances.  I'm living in a tier 4 area, which means everything is shut except essential businesses and schools.  I'm not even going to get started on that one *sighs*

Stay safe lovely people 💖 xxx

  1. I was wondering if you were ok after your BIG clearout! Glad to see you back. I think I plan to put my tree up next weekend. My lights are outside but not yet lit. We're in tier 4 too. Nightmare! Stay safe too. x

  3. So good to hear from you again, Ali. I got my garlic in a few weeks ago and we are now covered with snow (see my blog picture). Hope things are going well with your classes. Are you doing online or in-person teaching?

    1. In person, full class of kids. We're supposed to keep 2m/6ft apart at all times. That's just physically impossible in a school and is frankly very stressful. So far our school hasn't had any positive cases from kids or staff but lots of our local schools have

  4. For some odd reason, I tried to make a comment by replying to the email notification that you had a new blog post so you probably didn't receive it! Anyway, good to see that you are well and that the allotment is still producing too. Look after yourself and it won't be long until the holidays. Vicki

  6. I can't keep up with tiers and lockdowns and with the UK being so divided with rules it's hard to keep up. We still have about 10 days of lockdown here in England, then who knows what's next!!

As for stir it up Sunday ... I made lots of extra cups of coffee and stirred them, do you think that can count ;-)

  7. Your Christmas tree is really cheery! Well done planting the garlic. Your school has done well to be clear of any cases or need for isolation. Hoping it stays that way for you. xxx

  8. Hi Ali, so good to read your post and see that you are well, but understandably, stressed to the max. We are expecting a further heightening of rules-lockdown-tomorrow as our numbers are skyrocketing. It's all becoming too much. But, not much we cando except keep on carrying on!!lol. Take care.
