The installation is finished! Now I just need to decide on paint or wallpaper for above the tiles and flooring. I'm leaning towards a yellow colour and have ordered samples of wallpaper and tester pots of paint.
I rather like Daisy as it has yellow but on a white background. All from Wallpaper Direct if you fancy a nosey. I'm still undecided about the flooring. Laminate or lino? 🤔
I like the floral dream paper :) Lino. Love the pink :)
ReplyDeleteI like that one too but wonder if it's too creamy for the stark white tiles. I'm leaning towards lino I think
DeleteJungle Fiesta would go better with your pink shower stall. I have tiles on my bathroom floor in case of floods.
ReplyDeleteThat was the first one I liked as I was looking for a bright pink detail. I know I'm definitely not doing tiles after the kitchen tiles episode!!
DeleteI agree with Chris, i think the Jungle Fiesta would look good with the shower wall
ReplyDeleteYep, I'm hoping it's a good match but you never know just from the computer screen if the colours are true
DeleteI also agree with Chris on the wall paper. I do like how bright that pink is.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
It's VERY pink!!! But it's tucked away in the corner so only seen if you go into the bathroom
DeleteI like deco tropical! But I'm sure any will look fabulous. I love your pink wall. You must be glad to have it done now. Have fun putting on the final touches. x
ReplyDeleteSo glad it's all over. It's the fun bit for me now!!
DeleteI like jungle fiesta too. Will they send you real samples?
ReplyDeleteWe used this waterproof laminate from Howdens with an extra underlay as our fitter reckons the integrated bit wasn't good enough. Really pleased with it. https://www.howdens.com/joinery/floors/flooring/howdens-silver-grey-luxury-rigid-vinyl-flooring-with-integrated-underlay-22m-pack-sdh3697
Oooo, love that grey flooring!!!
DeleteYes, I've sent for samples which are A4 size. I chose my kitchen wallpaper this way and interestingly the one I really thought I'd choose just didn't look right on the wall!!
The flooring was fairly easy to fit. Saws like wood and then clicks together. It's fitted under the loo pan as well, rather than having to be cut round it like a wood laminate would have to be. We were thinking about lino but I'm glad our bathroom guy suggested this.
DeleteI'm glad you've got samples coming, colours are so hard to see properly on any screen. As you say, not until you've got a bit up in place that you can really know if it will work.
Hi Ali, just came on to let you know there is a fabulous article in the new Landscape magazine (December issue!!) about Stirling with some amazing photographs. Just in case you're interested. x
ReplyDeleteOoooo thanks, I'll look out for it!!
