It's not going away...

Unfortunately this Covid virus is just not going away.  One week back at school and we have several positive cases among children across two year groups.  My sister tested positive at the weekend and even though she's double jabbed she's rather poorly.

Please keep taking care of yourselves everyone 💗

    1. She's feeling a bit rough with a tight chest. Classic symptoms. and yes, strange times indeed.

  2. That's rather distressing. Kids here go back to school in two weeks and our numbers are rising. 720 new cases reported yesterday for the province.

  3. My DDiL’s mother caught it after two jabs. She was quite ill but feels without the jabs she would have been in hospital. Hope she feels better soon.

    1. Thank goodness the 2 jabs seem to be doing what they're designed to do, keep you from needing hospital!

    1. It is worrying as we're back to a 'below zero' level of alert. If school related cases rise I think we'll be up a level or 2. Wee one in my class went for a test today as his baby sister had symptoms

  5. I was just saying to a neighbour today that I've heard of more cases since we 'opened up' than during the whole of the previous year! I hope your sister and all the children get well soon. Stay safe.

  6. My husband is 80 I am 71 both of us are double vaccinated so have decided that we are going to continue with our life. We were in our home in South Africa when covid started so have not seen our daughters or five grandchildren in Scotland who are aged 4 to 8 years for two years, we have had enough. For health and financial reasons we will not go direct to Scotland but somewhere in Europe. UK does not recognise our Pfizer vaccine even though it probably came from the same facility as the one administered in the UK. We are fit and healthy but age wise do not have the time to wait for this virus to get better or worse. We might make Christmas in Scotland
