Christmas Giveaway!

Sometimes I play around on my blog and check out things like my stats.  I'm always thrilled to see all the different countries that pop up on my page views. This was the data from last week.  Hello to all you lovely people around the world! 🙋  I don't promote my blog anywhere and am always amazed that people actually read it and comment.

So as a thank you I'm doing a wee Christmas Giveaway.  All you have to do is leave me a comment telling me the country where you live, if you have a blog and anything you'd like me write more (or less!!) about.  I'll pick 5 names out a hat and send you one of the Scottie dog brooches I used to sell.  3 are made from genuine Harris Tweed off cuts and 2 are felted tartan from vintage kilts.  (old post HERE on how I felt the kilts)

I'll post them anywhere in the world!  I'm really looking forward to meeting you all 😊

  1. Awwww I absolutely adore the little Scotties, especially the one on the yellow card, so sweet.

As you know I live in North Wales, and so come under the United Kingdom umbrella of all your far flung readers.

It's amazing how many readers we get from countries so far away from our own shores isn't it, and amazing that they find us ... that's why I love blogging (you know where I blog from).

I love that you blog about lots of different topics, so just keep up the good work into 2018 and I'll be happy :-)

Really enjoying your journey into veganism as it's something I'm interested in. Maybe I'll investigate more in the New Year xxx

  3. I'm in the USA, Minnesota to be exact, after eight years in Iowa. I grew up in San Diego, California. My grandpa immigrated from Dundee in 1923. I've visited Dundee and felt like I'd come home. Such is the power of Scotland! My favorite posts on your blog have been about decorating/remodeling your home, and about clothing or crafts. I love the "friends" I have through blogging, whether reading their blogs or comments on mine. Keep up the good work!

Canada in the foothills of the Rockie mountains-where it's a balmy 15C, which is pretty unusual for this time of the year! I remember when you used to make all kinds of things from tartan and love the little scottie dogs. Keep on blogging just the way you are!!

  11. Hi there I love the Scottie dogs and your blog.
I am always pleased when I see a new post, I do not have a blog myself but really enjoy keeping up the news and life in the UK.
I am a Brit transplanted in Dallas TX. I have lived in the US for 27 years now, originally came for a two year work assignment and ended up staying. I do still miss many things about the UK, blogs such as yours lessen the homesickness a little. Thank you.

  20. Hi! I live in Southern California in the US (near Disneyland actually) and, while I haven't been to Scotland yet, I hope to get there someday. My mom's maiden name is Drever (from the Orkney Islands) and my married name is Armstrong! Like you, I teach small children (called Kindergarten here) and I enjoy reading about the interesting lessons you teach. I remember a post about a castle unit that was fabulous. I also like reading about your adventures decorating on a budget and your fashion finds and sewing creations. I have been eating a mostly vegan diet for six years and it has gotten so much easier over time. I love cooking and eating this way really led me to discover new tastes and techniques in the kitchen!

  22. Hi there! I'm in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
I actually found your blog when I was looking for something to do with my late father's kilt. Following your instructions I took the kilt apart (took forever) and felted it. I plan to make cushion covers with it. It's been sitting there for 3 years!! Maybe someday... Sandy Downs
