Congratulations! My daughter is a secondary school teacher, she wishes she could retire but she's only 30!! Glad to see Luna is on the mend & back to her antics.
Congrats. Wishing you every happiness in your retirement. I cĂ n still remember the horrid anxiety Ă t the start of a new school year. And being overwhelmed by the amount of work! I miss the students but not teaching.
10 years on from retirement, I still say a little thank you to the heavens each Sunday night, for not having that awful feeling that I will be climbing back onto the treadmill for yet another week, it will be the best thing you've ever done - times will be tight, but you'll do it - it's also surprising just how much money it costs to go out to work - Enjoy - CraftyNan xxx
Welcome Ali to your ‘new world’ just enjoy everything that retirement presents to you and have all the fun you deserve đđđđĽđ. Jan in Castle Gresley
From now on every Monday will hold the promise of a brand new week of doing whatever you want to do or need to do for your own wellbeing and happiness. I wish you a long and happy retirement and many, many days frugally squirrelling away all the beautiful fruits and veggies that you grow.
Enjoy!! I took early retirement from teaching due to Parkinson's Disease. I am happy to report that the thrill of freedom has never faded. No " Sunday night feeling ", no clock watching, no stress..... Happy retirement. Lynn. x
Woo hoo. That wonderful feeling doesn't go away. We don't start until September here in England but I will still feel that surge of joyous freedom, even at the start of my ninth year out. Enjoy! xx
Happy Monday and the start of your retirement. I wonder if like Joy, you will still think of the the start of each term. But freedom to do the things you choose, when you want to do them......enjoy.
Happy Retirement! I thought of you today when I saw the teachers leave the school round the corner from us! I can still remember how great it felt on Mondays when I retired 12 years ago now!! I was quite poor then but now I get the state pension (at last!) and I feel positively rich lol. Enjoy your freedom and wishing you good health too. ps. sorry to hear about your puppy's tummy woes I should think the breeder should indeed pay a good chunk of the money for the vet. x
Bless you, what a great feeling that must be!
