Lurgy
I've picked up the latest lurgy going round school. Tonight when I got home form work I pretty much went straight to bed for a couple of hours. I have a stinky rotten cold that's making me grumpy and irritable 😩
So for the next few days it's plenty of honey and lemon drinks and paracetamol to keep me going until the weekend. Eurgh!!

Oh, no. Schools are the very worst places for bugs, I think. Everyone in close proximity and somethings shocking hygiene, despite the adults' best efforts.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon.
xx
We get all our germs from our grandsons, children as so kind to pass their germs on, hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteYou and my husband both, Ali. Take your own advice and just do as little as possible. I think it’s the changeable weather that’s not helping either. Keep cosy and hydrated. X
ReplyDeleteOh no! Not the dreaded lurgy! May you feel better soon. (My grandpa was from Dundee and he used lurgy to describe colds. I'd forgotten it, so thanks for the fun reminder of my Grandpa!)
ReplyDeleteOh no! I hope it passes quickly.
ReplyDeleteMy son came home with something Thursday, stayed home Friday. Thankfully no one else got it (yet!). The poor custodian at work has been disinfecting all the doorknobs, light switches, faucets, and toilet stall latches multiple times a day and so many students still becoming ill. So much for the idea of returning quarter-term exams on time - everyone has to take it before they are handed back or I have to write another!
And the pic at the top of this post made me laugh! Thanks for that.
