A Pinterest Fail

I had some rhubarb tucked away in the freezer and found a lovely recipe on Pinterest for Rhubarb Marmalade.  I thought it would be a nice addition to my food hamper gifts.

As you can see, mine didn't look quite like the Pinterest one!! 😆 It tastes lovely but I'm not sure if I'll add it to my hampers.  Ah well.  Recipe HERE if you're interested.

I went back to work on Tuesday.  I'm still coughing a bit but feeling better each day.  I might be back to full health by Christmas!

Only 3 full and 2 half days of teaching left.  Cannot wait!!!

    1. Good plan!! I think I'll call it Rhubarb and Orange Preserve. That covers a multitude of jaminess! ;-) xxx

  2. Yes, definitely what Joy said. Yours looks fine to me and it wouldn't surprise me if the pinterest one didn't have some kind of colour enhancement.
Fingers crossed you're back in full health very soon. X

  3. No way is that Pinterest picure a true refection of rhubarb when it’s been cooked. Glad you are feeling on the mend. I gave my Craft Group a square jar full of Heroes with a wee circle hat on top and a hand made tag. We will use the jars again for a project next Christmas!! My volunteers party was cancelled today so I have sat and made 40 tissue holders for the older peopele’s christmas lunch at the sheltered housing. Nearly time for Strictly final, so I’ll love you and leave you.

  5. Glad to hear you're feeling better. My fail this week has been those little nutcracker biscuits on the Lakeland adverts! I got the cutter and now every time I try to cut out a nutcracker, the hands cut off or the head and I cannot get the dough out of all the little crevises!! It was going to be for Christmas presents, but now it might just be star biscuits instead! x

  6. hi! Greetings from Holland. A friend of mine was a food photographer once, He told me all the stuff they do to make food look better. Ice cream is coloured fat because ice cream melts under the lamps, veggies are sprayed with hair spray to made them look glossy, your pinterest photo shows enhanced food I think. Rhubarb just never colours ike that! I prefer natural and would be delighted to find it in a food hamper.
