Love the watermelon socks! We have one rose bush given as a gift for our Golden Wedding and it has five yellow blooms almost past flowering with the heat. Catriona
ReplyDeleteI'm loving my watermelon socks! The yarn was a gift from my DIL. The rose in full bloom was a Dobbies rescue and Old John was specially bought in memory of my Dad :-)
DeleteCute socks!! Love them.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
They just make me smile :-)
DeleteWatermelon - how lovely they look!

Every time I pick them up I sing "Watermelon sugar high" (Harry Styles!!) xxx
DeleteThe socks are amazing! I have lots of lemon balm in the garden, it is a hooligan for spreading but I let it run riot as it gets used for loads of culinary purposes. Pray tell what is the ‘oxymel’, honey maybe? Jan in Castle Gresley
ReplyDeleteI've kept my lemon balm in a big pot for that reason!! An oxymel is honey, vinegar and herb. The acid in the vinegar extracts the properties of the herb. A good explanation is here - https://blog.mountainroseherbs.com/herbal-oxymels
DeleteI've edited my post to add a clickable link :-)
DeleteThanx Ali, I will be making different concoctions now you have explained xx Jan
DeleteHi Ali. Do you make your oxymel with fresh rather than dried lemon balm? If so, would you share your recipe? Thank you, Rachael
ReplyDeleteI used fresh lemon balm. I'll put a link to the recipe in my post as I got it from She Is Of The Woods on YouTube :-)
DeleteThank you so much! Rachael
