It's nearly finished 🙄 The weather hasn't been kind to the guys working outside and they can't use sealant etc as the temps are too low for it it to cure. But it's nearly finished (wee fiddly bits to add) and what a difference it makes. Shame I'm not going to get to enjoy the benefit of it. It had to be done as it would have been a 3 on the Home Report and a 3 for anything can lower any offers I get.
Other than that, not much else has been happening here. Wrist is still sore so I'll need to go back for a second x-ray. Luna is still being Luna so I'm looking at working with a behaviourist. She still won't do the toilet outside, is a nightmare in the car and when out a walk, and the other day tried to hump poor Emma. Time for some expert help especially as the puppy day care doesn't seem to be doing the promised training. All she does is run wild with the pack so I don't think I'll be using them long term.
And I still haven't put up any Christmas decorations. I'm just not in the mood yet 🎄🎅
Oh Ali-what a nightmare. I hope you can get help for Luna as it’s such a worry that you are still having these difficulties with her. Catriona
ReplyDeleteIt's mostly a lack of socialisation at certain stages when she had to be in isolation. Good news is she's healthy but it has come at a cost to her behaviour. Totally fixable with the right help :-) xxx

DeleteWe sent our Labrador to puppy day care and it was the worst thing we did. He got very stressed and is now reactive with some dogs. They tend to let them just roam around together and ours never had any training. He didn’t go for long as he injured his leg elsewhere and had to rest. We got an amazing dog walker instead. You would be better off finding someone on a one to one basis.
ReplyDeleteI definitely think her behaviour with Emma has got worse. My main issue was socialisation but unstructured socialisation is even worse than none!! I have found a different day care option that has small groups and does actual training classes so I'm switching to that one :-) xxx
