Subject to the legal niceties, I've sold my house. In less than a week! And bought a property for my son and DIL!!!! π± It's highly unlikely that anything can go wrong but not impossible so it's still a wee bit nerve wracking until the missives are signed. Scottish law is different to English law and obviously different to elsewhere in the world. But every thing so far is the 'normal' way here. No entry date has been agreed yet but I'd guess maybe end of May or into June.
I still need to find a property for myself, I do have one in mind but it needs a bit of TLC. But the moving process has officially begun! π
Wonderful news! I hope everything goes well x
ReplyDeleteThanks! Fingers crossed :-) xxx

DeleteFingers crossed! House moves are so stressful, aren't they, here's hoping everything goes well.
ReplyDeleteIt's all very stressful right now but hopefully the legal stuff quietly gets done in the background :-) xxx
DeleteSo speedy! Hope everything progresses as it should and you find something suitable really soon
ReplyDeleteIt felt like it took ages to get it on the market and then it's all over and done in 5 days!! :-) xxx
DeleteHallelujah! You have worked so hard to get your house ready and let’s hope the simpler Scottish system holds. Relax tonight and bet ready for round two-the purchase of the other two houses. Catriona
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping the legal machinery just gets working in the background! :-) xxx
DeleteWow, that was quick! Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly for you all.
ReplyDeleteYep, just 5 days :-) xxx
DeleteWow ... that is amazing, congratulations. πΎπ₯
ReplyDeleteThanks! Very happy and relieved tonight :-) xxx
DeleteAnother Wow. That's fantastic news. π€ for the next bit.
ReplyDeleteI had a look at the quirky layout bungalow on Rightmove. It does look interesting. Did you get to view it?
Yes I viewed it. It needed a lot of immediate work just to make it safe and liveable never mind changing the layout. I just don't have the funds for that level of work unless the price drops drastically :-) xxx
DeleteI’m so pleased for you and hope it all goes very smoothly. Looking forward to seeing where you are moving, and following along with your adventures in your new home!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm sure there will be a few hiccups but hopefully all goes well :-) xxx
DeleteThat was very quick. I am so pleased for you and now comes the excitement of moving into a new place.

I once sold a house within a day but yep that was very quick! Excited and scared in equal measure as I don't have a house for me yet and my budget is very tight :-) xxx
DeleteMy goodness. How quick was that!! Good luck with the rest of the process and finding a home you will really love. xx
ReplyDeleteWhen everything lines up the Scottish system can be very quick! :-) xxx
DeleteGreat result, Ali. I now have another offer in up north. It's just a case of wait and see now - I was the first to view it. Have fun with the packing up! xxx
