Plot Update

I remembered to take a video yesterday when I was at the allotment.  I meant to do it last week after I'd finished the polytunnel but I was just too tired!

Our allotment site is looking fab.  Lots of people have been able to spend more time there and there's a great camaraderie on our Facebook page with lots of seed and plant sharing.  And all within the social distancing rules.  It's been a lovely respite to my week.

Hope everyone is well and keeping busy.  Stay safe, stay home 💗

  1. A lot of work which will no doubt pay dividends in the months to come! We had to water a few times in April but have now had some rain and so everything is growing really fast.

Have you had better takeup of online classes by your children from school since Easter?

    Have a good week,
    Vicki

    1. Thanks! We've had a wee bit more rain too so plants are starting to grow :-)

No, not had an increase in pupil/parent engagement. If anything, we've noticed it's worse. But we're working on it xxx

  2. Your plot is looking brilliant. You've done really well to get it to the stage its at in such a short time on your own too. All my veg is through now so tomorrow when they are promising me a sunny day, I'll be earthing up potatoes and repotting some stuff. I love it! x

  3. It looks amazing, and what a nice sized plot, not too small or too big just a nice manageable size for you and your little furry helper.

I've given up believing the rule about not moving rhubarb, ours has moved house with us twice and been repositioned here at least once and it's always provided us with stalks to eat.

Being able to be outdoors and growing something is going to keep a lot of use sane this year isn't it.

    1. Thanks! I had the choice of 2 plots but I knew the other one was just too big for me on my own. You're so right about being outdoors keeping me sane!! xxx
